Cornerstone's education program is intended to provide students and faculty members the use of an education edition of PowerBroker at no charge. "The intuitive interface and ease of navigation that are hallmarks of our application make this software ideal for students," says James Cole, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Cornerstone and architect of the education program. "And the price is about right for that target market."
Raising Industry Standards
The goal of Cornerstone's Education Program is twofold: to promote and elevate the understanding of asset management and portfolio performance reporting and to boost the standards for asset management best practices.
"Having portfolio management software to use while studying the fundamentals of financial planning provides a tool for seeing the practical applications of what students are learning," says Angela Lyles, Chief Executive Officer of Cornerstone. Investing in the Future of the Industry
The education version of PowerBroker is the same full-featured application as the commercial version except that each printed report will have a watermark identifying it as the education edition. The free education version of PowerBroker is only available online and can be downloaded when the student or faculty member creates a personal education account with Cornerstone.
Once students graduate from their financial planning program, they can continue to use the PowerBroker application by converting to the standard commercial version and paying the annual maintenance fee. The cost of the initial license will be waived for graduates.
