Portland, OR - Cornerstone Revolutions, LLC, makers of Cornerstone PowerAdvisor asset management software, has built its software and business on the premise that independent financial advisors require tools and services that will power their independence in making choices about how they run their business and serve their clients. In an expression of a shared commitment to serving the independent investment advisor, Cornerstone announced its alliance today with Shareholder Services Group (SSG), a brokerage and custody services provider committed exclusively to the needs of the independent, fee-based Registered Investment Advisors (RIA).
As an approved vendor in SSG's Advisor Advantage affinity program, PowerAdvisor will be available to SSG's client-base at a discount off the base license price. But the real cost savings, says Cornerstone's chief executive officer Angela Lyles, will be in the powerhouse combo of the PowerAdvisor application plus SSG's services in reducing the time advisors spend servicing client accounts."Our partnership with SSG is a natural", observes Lyles. "SSG and Cornerstone are both committed to maximizing the RIA's client time and minimizing time and capital spent on producing reports or managing data. That's where the real savings will happen." Plus, says Lyles, there's the added benefit of a solid relationship between SSG and Cornerstone. "We've been in conversation with (SSG's president and chief executive officer) Peter Mangan over the course of several years. We've both had the chance to watch each other's company grow and respond to the RIA market. This is a partnership built on respect for each other's commitment to providing the right tools for the independent advisor facing the day-to-day challenges that come with running your own firm."
Cornerstone also shares SSG's commitment to providing value added services for their clients, further strengthening their suitability in an affinity partnership. Beginning in 2004, Cornerstone began actively seeking out partnerships with complementary services in order to offer PowerAdvisor clients a complete solutions package that could be easily integrated into their business. Cornerstone's Service Solutions act as a resource for advisors setting up a new investment advising practice, going solo after operating as part of a larger firm, or expanding a financial planning practice to include asset management services. Currently, Cornerstone offers their own back office support and data conversion services and resources for compliance strategies, and online data backup and recovery services.
