The fact that I own my data with PowerAdvisor is a big factor for me. Companies come and go, and if they owned my data, that would be gone too. Independent financial planners owe it to themselves to support products that give you options so we are not at the mercy of those who decide what we pay and what we get.

"I have to add my $.02 about PowerAdvisor. I'm very happy with it. I don't think there is anything out there that gives you the flexibility and independence for the price. Some growing pains initially, but I believe that is behind them (Cornerstone) now. It literally takes me 5 minutes to do my reconciliations. If owning your own data is important to you and you want to be able to do such leading edge things as mail PDFs of great-looking, easy-to-read reports (I am no longer in the printing and mailing business), I highly recommend it."
